Rate filings, new programs, market exits, coverage adjustments and more have to be filed, and typically approved for use, before use. And WC isn’t the only line, but yes, this is where we get our LCMs in most cases. The paper trail is a hot mess, but thanks to our pal Claude we’ve made it searchable, summarized it and provide potential talk points for a call.
30-100 page pdfs spread across multiple folders, that is a typical filing. We boil this down to, well, still a lot of text but it really is the TL;DR (too long, didn’t read) of the filings found in SERFF. You can also run a search from the filing to apply applicable filters and create a list.
There is a full write up available in the KB, which includes some use cases. For filtering, aside from the obvious (carrier, state, LOC), there is sentiment (this is what the red/gray/green color represents), impact and effect. You can add your markets in the Settings menu so they are tagged on xRate.
