What it does

CG 21 37 makes Paragraph 2.a. of Section II – Who Is An Insured not apply, so employees and volunteer workers are no longer insureds, and limits real estate manager status to "any person or any organization while acting as your real estate manager". It also rewrites the aircraft, auto or watercraft exclusion (with a version that preserves unmanned aircraft coverage if CG 21 09, CG 21 10, CG 24 50 or CG 24 51 is attached) and the medical payments exclusion for injury to any insured.

Who needs it

Rarely appropriate for an operating business; employees sued personally for on-the-job accidents would have no coverage under the employer's CGL.

Key provisions and limits

  • Employee and volunteer operation of autos, aircraft and watercraft remains excluded, with the usual exceptions (watercraft ashore, small non-owned watercraft, parking, insured contracts, mobile equipment).

Quoting and selling notes

  • Explain the personal exposure to employees, especially drivers, technicians and security staff.
  • CG 21 66 removes only volunteer workers.
