What it does
CG 40 49 01 26 is ISO's Exclusion – Human Trafficking endorsement for the CGL. ISO introduced it in its 2025 general liability forms filing (GL-2025-OFR25), approved in most states with a January 1, 2026 effective date, so it can appear on policies written from 2026.
Lawsuits against hotels and other businesses under trafficking statutes have been a growing source of large liability claims; this form lets carriers remove that exposure from the CGL.
Who needs it
Hospitality owners and franchisees, motels, truck stops, spas and massage businesses, and labor-intensive employers.
Key provisions and limits
- Read the definition of human trafficking and any exceptions on the form before quoting.
Quoting and selling notes
- Ask about staff training, guest registration practices and law enforcement cooperation; franchisors often require trafficking awareness programs.
- Hotels whose franchise agreements require GL limits without such exclusions should check the agreement before accepting the form.
