CG 22 88 excludes injury or damage arising out of the rendering of or failure to render electronic data processing, computer consulting or computer programming services, advice or instruction by the insured or those it is legally responsible for or whose liability it assumed by contract.

Computer consultants, custom programmers, systems integrators and IT staffing firms.
Key provisions and limits
- Like most ISO professional exclusions, it applies even when the claim alleges negligent supervision, hiring, employment, training or monitoring of others, if the occurrence or offense involved the excluded service.

- When a professional exclusion is attached, review the professional liability policy for bodily injury and property damage coverage, defense outside limits and the retroactive date, so the two policies fit together without a gap.
Edition watch
The 12 25 edition is titled "Professional Liability Exclusion – Computer, Telecommunication, Electronic Data Or Internet Services", a broader title than the 04 13 edition. ISO's 12 25 multistate revision (filing GL-2024-OFR24) has been approved in most states with an effective date of April 1, 2027. Until a carrier adopts it, policies continue to use the earlier edition, so check the edition printed on the forms schedule of each quote and renewal.
