What it does
CA 05 33 excludes Covered Autos Liability for claims arising out of human trafficking. ISO introduced it in its 2025 multistate forms revision (CA-2025-OFR25), effective September 1, 2026 in most states (later in a few, such as October 1, 2026 in Connecticut and Kentucky and December 1, 2026 in Michigan and Rhode Island). A general liability and acts, errors or omissions version for the Auto Dealers Coverage Form (CA 27 45) and a Connecticut version (CA 05 46) were filed with it.
Who sees it
Insurers may attach it to accounts where vehicles could be alleged to have been used to transport trafficking victims, such as passenger carriers, trucking fleets and businesses operating shuttles for hotels or other hospitality operations.
Selling notes
- Read how the endorsement defines human trafficking and whether it reaches claims of negligent failure to detect or prevent it.
- Check the general liability policy for a matching exclusion; plaintiffs in trafficking suits often name hotels, transport providers and other businesses together.
- Related optional exclusions in the same revision are CA 28 06 (assault or battery) and CA 05 34 (litigation funding disclosure condition).
