What it does
Amends the umbrella so a trust that owns the insured's residence (and its trustees, for their duties) is covered.
Who needs it
Clients who have placed their home or vehicles in a revocable trust.
Quoting and selling notes
- Match the homeowners trust endorsement (HO 06 15) and the auto trust endorsement (PP 13 03). Some states use DL 99 09.
How the umbrella pieces fit
ISO's personal umbrella program is built from the DL 98 01 policy plus optional endorsements. The program includes excess endorsements for exposures the umbrella does not pick up on its own (business pursuits DL 98 05, home business DL 98 03, home day care DL 98 04, incidental farming DL 98 06, permitted incidental occupancies DL 99 02, broadened home-sharing DL 99 68, transportation network and delivery network driving DL 99 69 to DL 99 71), and exclusion endorsements (designated autos, recreational vehicles, watercraft, motorcycles, motor homes, dogs, unmanned aircraft). Match each excess endorsement to the underlying endorsement on the homeowners or auto policy so the umbrella has something to sit over.
Editions and availability
Current edition 03 18, replacing 10 06. Carriers adopt ISO editions state by state, so an in-force policy may carry an older edition.
