What it does
CX 21 79 excludes injury or damage arising out of cannabis as defined in the endorsement. ISO filed the excess cannabis exclusions with 12 19 editions, with hemp (CX 21 80) and hemp-and-lessors-risk (CX 21 81) exception versions; carrier filings now show 12 20 editions.

Accounts with cannabis or hemp exposure, or where carriers attach it broadly.
How it fits the excess layer
The ISO excess form follows the provisions, exclusions and limitations of the controlling underlying insurance unless the excess form or an endorsement says otherwise. Excess endorsements therefore either add a restriction the underlying does not have, or adjust how the excess layer follows the underlying. Check every CX endorsement on a quote against the underlying policy so the layers line up.
