What it does
CP DS 05 supplies the information for the Legal Liability Coverage Form (CP 00 40). It lists the items the form applies to, each with a limit of insurance:
- Location and occupancy.
- Description of property, such as the leased building or the customers' goods in the insured's care.
- Limit of insurance.
The Legal Liability form defines covered property as tangible property of others in the insured's care, custody or control described in the Declarations or on this schedule. The most it pays per accident is the limit shown here or in the Declarations.
Quoting and selling notes
- Describe the property precisely. Coverage applies only to the property scheduled.
- Set limits to the value of the property the insured could be held liable for, for example the full replacement cost of a leased building.
