What it does
CM 99 06 adds ISO's cannabis exclusion to the Commercial Inland Marine Coverage Part with an exception for hemp, so hemp is treated differently from other cannabis under the inland marine forms.
Who needs it
Insureds that grow, process, transport or store hemp, and carriers willing to cover hemp while excluding marijuana.
Quoting and selling notes
Confirm that the insured's product meets the hemp definition used in the endorsement; product that tests above legal THC limits may fall outside the exception. Cargo and transit accounts hauling hemp should be checked for this form versus the full exclusion CM 99 05. A Vermont version (CM 99 14) appears in the ISO index.
