What it does

CG 21 42 excludes "property damage" included within the "explosion hazard", "collapse hazard" or "underground property damage hazard" if that hazard is entered as excluded in the schedule for the described location and operations. It does not apply to operations performed for the insured by others or to property damage within the products-completed operations hazard.

Who needs it

Key provisions and limits

  • "Collapse hazard": structural property damage from grading, excavating, tunneling, pile driving, cofferdam or caisson work, or moving, shoring, underpinning, raising or demolishing structures.
  • "Underground property damage hazard": damage to wires, conduits, pipes, mains, sewers, tanks, tunnels and similar property below ground caused by mechanical equipment used for grading, paving, excavating, drilling and similar work.
