What it does

CA DS 26 is the ISO declarations form introduced with the Auto Dealers Coverage Form in the 2013 revision. The 10 13 edition runs 23 pages because the dealer form combines several coverage parts. The current multistate edition is 11 20. Massachusetts compulsory dealer risks use MM 25 02 instead.

What it schedules

  • Dealer locations and operations, with the covered auto symbols (21-31) entered for each coverage.
  • Covered autos liability and general liability limits, including aggregate limits for the general liability coverages.
  • Garagekeepers coverage for customers' autos (symbol 30) and dealer physical damage on inventory (symbol 31), with limits per location and deductibles.
  • Rating information such as dealer plates and payroll, plus the endorsements attached.

Quoting tips

Match each location's inventory values and garagekeepers values to the schedule, confirm whether the Full Covered Autos Liability Limit For Customers option (CA 25 15) is purchased, and check that general liability exclusions the carrier attaches (such as CA 25 50, CA 25 53 or CA 25 54) are disclosed to the dealer.
