What it does
BP DS 03 is the Restaurants Supplemental Schedule in the ISO Businessowners program. ISO describes it as a schedule that may be used when it is necessary to provide additional information that is not contained in the Declarations or in the Restaurants endorsement. It carries the entries that activate or size the restaurant class coverages; it does not grant coverage by itself.
Who needs it
Limited cooking, quick service, full service and fine dining restaurants written on a BOP with BP 07 78. ISO restaurant eligibility on the BOP is limited by square footage, seating capacity and the share of sales from alcohol, so confirm the class before quoting.
Quoting and selling notes
- Review each option on the schedule with the insured; a blank entry generally means the related restaurant coverage is not purchased.
- Pair with spoilage (BP 04 15), food contamination (BP 04 31) and liquor endorsements as needed.
- New York uses its own schedule (BP DS 05) with the New York restaurants endorsement.
