What it does
FL 10 12 adds an exclusion to Coverage H of FL 00 20 and the Personal Liability endorsement for damages arising out of access to or disclosure of confidential or personal information (patents, trade secrets, customer lists, financial, credit card and health information) and data-related liability, with a limited exception for bodily injury. FL 10 13 is the version without the bodily injury exception and FL 10 14 combines electronic data and personal and advertising injury provisions.
Who needs it
Carriers attach it to farm liability to keep data breach exposures out of the policy.
Quoting and selling notes
Recommend cyber coverage for farms holding customer or employee data. Wording reviewed: 12 14 edition.
How it fits the farm liability policy
A farm liability endorsement changes only the coverages it names (Coverage H bodily injury and property damage, Coverage I personal and advertising injury, Coverage J medical payments, or a coverage it adds). The rest of FL 00 20, including the definitions of "farming", "custom farming" and "insured location", continues to apply. When presenting a quote, list each farm liability endorsement and its schedule entries so the insured sees how the base form was broadened or narrowed.
