What it does
FL 04 25 was filed by ISO in its 2024 farm revision (FR-2024-OFR24) with a 06 25 edition. It provides coverage for livestock of others in the insured's care, custody or control, an exposure the liability form's property damage exclusions otherwise remove.
Who needs it
Farms that board, breed, pasture, feed or custom-raise animals owned by others, including cattle feeders and horse boarding operations.
Quoting and selling notes
Ask how many animals of others are on the farm, their values and the contracts with owners.
Before presenting it
Ask the carrier for the specimen and read it with FL 00 20 before explaining it to the insured.
How it fits the farm liability policy
A farm liability endorsement changes only the coverages it names (Coverage H bodily injury and property damage, Coverage I personal and advertising injury, Coverage J medical payments, or a coverage it adds). The rest of FL 00 20, including the definitions of "farming", "custom farming" and "insured location", continues to apply. When presenting a quote, list each farm liability endorsement and its schedule entries so the insured sees how the base form was broadened or narrowed.
