What it does
CX DS 01 is the declarations page for CX 00 01. It shows the excess limits, the premium and audit basis and the Schedule of "controlling underlying insurance", which defines both the retained limit and the policies whose terms the excess follows. Underlying sublimits are followed only if shown in this schedule.

Key provisions
Carrier SERFF schedules show the 09 18 edition in use. Because the excess form follows the controlling underlying insurance, the schedule on this page is the single most important part of the excess policy: a policy left off the schedule is not followed, and a limit shown incorrectly changes where the excess attaches.
