What it does
CX 25 01 is part of ISO's CU-2025-OFR25 filing. It amends the excess form's aggregate limit so that it follows the aggregate structure of the controlling underlying insurance. In the base form, the excess aggregate applies only to injury or damage subject to an aggregate in the controlling underlying insurance.
Who needs it
Accounts whose underlying policies have multiple or per-project aggregates.
How it fits the excess layer
The ISO excess form follows the provisions, exclusions and limitations of the controlling underlying insurance unless the excess form or an endorsement says otherwise. Excess endorsements therefore either add a restriction the underlying does not have, or adjust how the excess layer follows the underlying. Check every CX endorsement on a quote against the underlying policy so the layers line up.
