What it does
CG 24 16 states the aircraft, auto or watercraft exclusion does not apply to injury or damage arising out of any canoe or rowboat owned or used by or rented to the insured, and adds as an insured anyone legally responsible for the use of a canoe or rowboat the named insured owns, if used with permission.
Who needs it
Summer camps, resorts, campgrounds, nature centers and canoe or rowboat rental operations.
Quoting and selling notes
- Motorized boats and sailboats are not covered by this form; consider CG 24 12 or watercraft liability.
- Ask whether rentals include life jackets, waivers and staff supervision, and where boats are used.
- Motorized rentals and sailboats are outside this form and need separate watercraft coverage.
