What it does
CG 22 27 excludes "bodily injury" to any passenger while on, entering into or alighting from a passenger train.
Who needs it
Passenger railroads, tourist railways and excursion train operators that insure passenger liability separately.
Quoting and selling notes
- Passenger liability must be covered under a separate railroad or passenger policy.
- Railroad passenger liability is a specialized exposure; tourist railroads typically insure it through railroad programs with high limits.
- Ask about crossings, station premises and excursion events, which remain CGL exposures.
- Ask for passenger counts, track miles, crossing incidents and safety program details.
