What it does
For any statutorily permitted reason other than nonpayment of premium, CG 02 24 increases the number of days required for notice of cancellation under the Cancellation Common Policy Condition (or the applicable state cancellation endorsement) to the number of days shown in the schedule.
Who needs it
Accounts with contracts requiring 30, 60 or 90 days' notice of cancellation.
Key provisions and limits
- Applies to the CGL, Liquor Liability, Pollution Liability and Products/Completed Operations coverage parts.
- Nonpayment cancellations keep the normal notice period.
Quoting and selling notes
- The notice goes to the first named insured; it does not create a duty to notify certificate holders. Third-party notice needs a carrier-specific endorsement.
- OCP policies use CG 28 04.
