What it does

BP 10 91 excludes space weather loss like BP 10 89 but adds an ensuing cause of loss exception, so direct physical loss or damage by fire resulting from space weather stays covered. ISO filed it in states whose standard fire policy statutes require fire coverage; the filing summaries for Georgia, Massachusetts and Oregon note it replaces BP 10 89 there, and the Massachusetts and Oregon summaries note the ensuing fire exception does not restore business income.

Filing and timing

ISO introduced this form in its 2026 Businessowners multistate endorsement filing (BP-2026-OFR26), with the 03 27 edition. Where approved, the filings carry an effective date of March 1, 2027 for new and renewal policies, so agents will see it on 2027 renewals with carriers that adopt it. State approval varies; some states rejected or replaced individual forms.
