What it does
BP 08 02 addresses professional liability arising out of the rendering of or failure to render professional services as a funeral director. Mishandling of remains, embalming errors, misidentification and cremation mistakes can lead to emotional distress claims by families that a standard premises policy does not contemplate.

Quoting and selling notes
- Ask whether the home operates its own crematory, uses outside crematories, provides transport or limousine services (auto exposure) and handles pre-need funds.
- Illinois and Oregon use state versions (BP 08 51 and BP 08 10).
- Ask whether embalming is done on premises or by trade embalmers, and whether the home stores or handles remains for other funeral homes.
