What it does

BP 04 19 amends the liquor liability exclusion in Section II – Liability to provide liquor liability coverage at the premises or for the specific activities scheduled in the endorsement. It is narrower than removing the exclusion altogether (BP 04 88) and does not create separate liquor limits (BP 04 89).

Who needs it

Insureds whose alcohol exposure is tied to one location or event – for example a retail store hosting tastings, a business holding an annual event where it sells alcohol, or a restaurant whose underwriter wants to confine liquor coverage to the scheduled premises.

Quoting and selling notes

  • Describe the premises or activity precisely in the Schedule; anything outside it stays excluded.
  • ISO also has BP 04 18 (Amendment – Liquor Liability Exclusion) and BP 16 32 (limited exception for bring your own alcohol).
  • Washington uses its own version (BP 04 26).
